Joelle has been in the fitness and wellness world since an early age practicing martial arts and was first introduced to Yoga in 1998 to complement her rigorous training. She immediately fell in love with this practice and adopted it in her daily life. It is only after a long regular self-practice that she couldn’t ignore any longer that inner call and decided in 2012 her complement her personal trainer certification with yoga training certification to share her passion and the benefits of yoga with her clients.
She has been teaching Yoga ever since conducting yoga retreats all over the world and sharing her deep knowledge of this great ancient science with the world.
Joelle has studied the yogic tradition and eastern philosophies extensively. Furthermore, she has been taught meditation in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism, Dzogchen tradition of “Great Perfection” also known as Atiyoga (utmost yoga).
She brings a wealth of knowledge to help students get a better understanding of the yogic and eastern philosophies and how to apply them in daily life to transform one’s life. She has been conducting for the last 3 years, mindfulness courses and events to help people take control of their life reducing stress, addiction, and anxieties.
Joelle’s Yogic background is in traditional Hatha Yoga. She appreciates preserving the traditional essence of yoga teachings and philosophies and her classes often revolve around yoga philosophy themes that relates to our current lives. She also teaches Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar and therapeutic Yoga, and Yin yoga.
Her classes often flow into sequences that draws inspiration from her background in martial arts and primal movement, leading her students to synchronize breath with movements to find that meditative flow.
Her teaching method encourages self-challenge while maintaining full awareness of the physical and energetic body and the observance of the mind fluctuations. Her students enjoy her compassionate approach that makes it ideal for all levels.
As a fervent adept of mindfulness, expect a mediation practice to finish the class, so students can experience the true essence of yoga through body-mind union.
Joelle is an ERYT 500-hours Yoga Alliance instructor as well as a Certified Personal Trainer, Meditation and Mindfulness teacher, and Positive Psychology and NLP life coach. When she isn’t on the mat teaching or practicing yoga, you will find her most probably swamped with philosophy and spirituality books, researching and seeking further to quench her thirst for knowledge.
